- Crowned Angel Productions was taken from the name Stephen Angelo. Angelo, which means "angel" in Italian, and Stephen, which gets its origin from the Greek name Stephanos meaning "crown", resulted in the coiniage of the name Crowned Angel.
- I have always been great with numbers, so everyone pushed me toward an engineering career. My writing career started in high school when I started writing poetry. Writing has become a great release from all the things in my life. I didn’t get into screen writing until I attended a film festival and said to myself, "I could make a better movie than this." Later, I spoke to a friend in the independent film industry, Curtis Pollock, about a few ideas and he helped point me in the right direction. I read quite a few scripts as well to get an understanding on how it all worked. Since that time, I have developed a TV series, written six short films and finished producing my first film.
- The idea for this short film was spurred from a pilot that I had written and wanted to constructively develop into a T.V. series.
The TV series sets out to provide a view into the lives of the everyday person in society. These views, told through the dialogue and inner monologue, would provide a basis of how we, as invididuals, are molded by society. In reality, only about thirty percent of what we perceive in a person to be is actual truth of that individual. Unless we can collectively understand or hear the voices that are within each and every one of us, we have to rely on our instincts and the moral up-bringings that has been instilled into our persona. In reality, we are all linked together in this world and share a common sense of dialogue and human relationships. In a broader sense, we all struggle and have problems; however, our fates are all affected by one another. We try to protray this within the character transitions, conversations, and ultimately the actions of each character.
- Originally I had planned on shooting at a train station in New York City, Hoboken, or Philadelphia. Curtis Pollock (the director) and I had been talking about this project for a while why he was living in Hoboken, NJ. Once he moved to Austin, TX; I still wanted him to direct the film but the cost for filming in the tri–state area just didn‘t work for me. And because of his hectic schedule it didn’t really work for him. He convinced me that Austin had great talent around and we could shoot a great movie with great people for a reasonable cost. So, I rewrote the script to take place in a park based on the Austin location. And it turns out, he was right. Austin worked out to be a great location!
- Character development! I had done so much character development for the T.V. series that I felt I knew how each character was thinking. I pictured how each would react to the other and to those around them. Most of these thoughts were not formal for the most part, but were quick glimpses.
